Delayed Opening:  When the forecast is for improving weather conditions, a two-hour delayed opening may be in effect.  The delayed opening schedule will always be two hours later than the regular school schedule.  Your children’s bus pickup time will be two hours later than on a normal day.  The two-hour delayed opening will be announced on radio stations and TV channels, as well as announced on our snow telephone lines and answering systems at the schools and the district website.

The following delayed opening schedule will be in effect:

*M.F. Atchison School:     10:30 AM opening   (regular lunch periods and dismissal).

*Swimming River School: 10:30 AM opening   (regular lunch periods and dismissal)

*Tinton Falls School:          9:30 AM opening    (regular lunch periods and dismissal)

 Time + Early Bird Morning Program will be cancelled.

Emergency School Closing:  It may be necessary to close school early and send students home if a severe storm or emergency develops during the school day.  A school emergency closing announcement will be made through text, email and voice call, as well as on the school website.  Bus dismissal will be adjusted accordingly.  Parents may also come to school to take their children home.  Make arrangements for your children and make sure they know what to do in an emergency closing situation.
