The Tinton Falls School District is happy to announce that we will be continuing with our preschool programming at the Mahala F. Atchison School for the 2025-2026 school year. We look forward to another successful year expanding access and educational opportunities to our community. Please take a look at the information below, as it is time sensitive. Students currently in our Panther Preschool program do not need to reapply for next year.

You may only register for PRESCHOOL if the following applies to your child:

1. You are currently in the eligibility process with the Child Study Team OR
2. The Tinton Falls School District has contacted you, and you have been notified that you have been accepted into the tuition-based preschool program.

We do not have a universal preschool program. If you have not met this criterion, your registration will not be processed.

FOR: Three, Four and Five Year-Olds (if turning five after October 1, 2025)

Families must be residents of Tinton Falls or Shrewsbury Township
Students must be three years old by October 1, 2025
Toileting Success is recommended before the start of the program
Students must have updated immunizations and the required physical examinations.

WHAT: The program is a language-based developmental program. The class will be taught by a certified P-3 teacher and supported by a classroom paraprofessional. Students will experience the following:

Teaching and Learning through a State Approved Curriculum (Creative Curriculum)
Developmentally Appropriate Play Based Learning Strategies that include best practices in:
- Social Emotional Development
- Early English Language Arts and Mathematical Development
- Fine and Gross Motor Development
