•   :)  Welcome to my page on the Tinton Falls Middle School website.  <3
We are continuing to build reading skills through small group instruction and  READ 180 individual software.
Please ask your child about the READ 180 program. Some of the questions could be:   Have they completed segments, what spelling and vocabulary words are they learning while in the program?
This individualzed program is geared just for them and only allows them to go on once they master the words and knowledge of comprehension that they need to learn.  It also is a timed lesson which shoulld have 15-20 minutes average to be on.
Any questions about the coming school year, please don't hesitate to email me.  I frequently check my email  to see if I have any emails in my school account.

The seventh grade usually reads 2-3 novels a year. Last year we read, City of Ember , Among The Hidden, and Freak the Mighty .  We also  read the READ 180 novels , which are chosen by the student.
WE are currently finishing the 5th chapter of City of Ember.  WE will be acting out skits, using google forms, having small group discussions and using other games and activities to learn about character, setting, plot and author's purpose.
Below is the link for the online- digital copy of the novel.
On Google classroom is the links to listen to the chapters .
Language Arts will be taught through using the seventh grade curriculum, with extra time, and modifications where needed,  as per I.E.P.s of individual students.
Please know that I am always an email away.  I am always available to assist in any way that I can to ensure your child, my student,  a successful school year. :) (smile)
    Warmest Regards,
